Executive Team

Charlie Hirschhorn

Founder and Chief of the Executive Board

Charlie Hirschhorn, a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying Economics and Cinema Studies, is the founder and CEO of The Friendly Fridge Network. From a young age, Charlie has been involved with charitable organizations like volunteering with foster teens, fighting poverty in New York City, and working with pediatric cancer research fundraising. He has a strong passion for combating food insecurity and a particularly strong connection to the Robin Hood Foundation as a former member of their Teen Council.

For his efforts with the Friendly Fridge Network, Charlie was awarded Riley’s Way’s 2021 Call For Kindness Fellowship and 2022 Continuation Grant; he has also acted as a nonprofit mentor for other Call For Kindness Fellows. Charlie has worked closely with New York nonprofit Invisible Hands Deliver to consult on fundraising ideas, volunteer recruitment, marketing, and other organizational strategies. He was awarded their Student Leadership Award for service and leadership in the movement to end food insecurity. 

Jordan Hoberman

Co-Founder, Director of Fundraising and Community Outreach

Jordan Hoberman is a Co-Founder of the Port Chester Friendly Fridge. She has always been passionate about food insecurity and has worked for several years to expand the Friendly Fridge Network network.  She enjoys working within each community to make a difference. As the Director of Fundraising and Community Outreach Jordan is responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of fundraising efforts in the community.   She works directly with the community on the planning and spearheading of upcoming fundraising and events.  
Jordan enjoys playing sports, cooking, as well as spending time with her family and friends.  
Jordan has worked to launch and grow the Friendly Freezer Network, an emergency meal service program and the FFN’s food pantry.  

Ryan Frieman

Co-Founder, Director of Teen Leadership and Community Outreach

Ryan Frieman is a Co-Founder of the Friendly Fridge Network. Throughout her middle and early high school years, she volunteered at various organizations in Westchester County. As the Director of Team Leadership and Community Outreach, Ryan manages the day to day activities of the team.  She is  charged with overseeing the planning and implementation of community and partner outreach strategies.  Since her involvement in 2020, Ryan has worked diligently to create a network of volunteers and partnerships.  Most recently she has focused her efforts on expanding the volunteer network, speaking to other students and local businesses and engaging in fun fundraisers.  Additionally, she has worked to launch and grow the Friendly Freezer Network, an emergency meal assistance program and the FFN’s food pantry.

In her free time, Ryan enjoys working out and spending time with her friends and family. 

Alexa Hoberman

Co-Founder, Director of Marketing and Social Media

Alexa Hoberman is a Co-Founder of the Friendly Fridge Network.  She became involved in the Friendly Fridge Network to help reduce food insecurity and to make a difference locally. She has been an active volunteer her entire life and has spent a majority of her high school career growing the Friendly Fridge Network. 
As Director of Marketing and Social Media, Alexa is responsible for content creation. She is charged with developing meaningful, creative and exciting marketing and social media content. She has been able to increase visibility creating additional volunteer involvement and meaningful sponsorship opportunities.
In her free time Alexa enjoys playing  soccer competitively as well as spending time with her family and friends. Additionally, Alexa has worked to launch and grow the Friendly Freezer Network, an emergency meal assistance program and the FFN’s food pantry.
