Our Pantry in downtown Port Chester, NY, has been one of the Friendly Fridge Network’s most impactful initiatives. We have partnered with St. Paul’s and Meals on Main Street to bring a weekly market to our food-insecure neighbors. A pop-up located next to our Fridge and Freezer, the Friendly Pantry invites neighbors to choose both frozen and perishable items, along with non-perishables, to fill their cabinets weekly. FFN teen volunteers source and recover excess food from local bakeries and elementary schools, then stock and organize the pantry every Friday.
